Hi, I’m Kizmo Macoubrie.

I witnessed the Camp Fire tear through Northern California, and I'll never forget what I saw—a lifetime of tragedy unfolding in just a few moments. That experience changed me. I watched families rebuild from nothing, and while I didn't lose my home, I lost a community. I saw how overwhelming the process was for so many of them.

That's what brought me to Cavalry Disaster Advocates. This work feels like an answer to something I'd been searching for—a way to make a real difference when people need it most.

By connecting with homeowners, I help families understand what they might be entitled to and offer a way to find options they may not know exist. I genuinely believe insurance policies are complex, and in the chaos after disaster, things get missed. It's about making sure survivors have someone in their corner who cares about getting it right.

Every time we help a family recover what they're owed, it reminds me why I do this work.
